Guidelines and Schedule

What will you be doing?
1. Pick a topic from this class.
2. Design an infographic about that topic.

What's an infographic?
An infographic is a visual representation of a subject. Below are some examples.

Where do I find my information?
1. Your textbook.
2. Other books.
3. The internet.
You MUST cite all your sources on your infographic. Include a list of them at the bottom of your infographic.

How do I make my infographic?
1. Use one of these websites:
- www.piktochart.com
- www.canva.com
2. Or use another website or program of your choice.

How do I turn my project in?
Save a copy and email it to me.

When is my project due?
See the deadlines that have been announced in your class.

Answers Research Journal Report Assignment

Directions
• Go to: https://answersingenesis.org/answers/research-journal/
• Pick out one article and read it.
• Type up a summary about the article and turn it in.

This is what your summary needs to include:
• At the top of the summary list your name, the title of the article, the journal volume, and the word count for your summary.
• Your summary must be a minimum of 200 words.
• DO NOT use any direct quotes from the article. This is a summary, not a research paper.
• Use a readable font in size 12 with double spacing between lines.

Chemistry CLEP Exam

If you have been doing well in Chemistry throughout the year, you might want to consider taking the Chemistry CLEP exam.

Here are some recommendations on how to prepare for it.

I would recommend that you look over the test content as outlined here: https://clep.collegeboard.org/science-and-mathematics/chemistry

You might also want to consider spending the $10 to buy the CLEP Chemistry Examination Guide because it will give you some good pointers on what will be on the test as well as a practice test.

If you want more practice than that, I have two other recommendations:
1. The Khan Academy AP Chemistry page: https://www.khanacademy.org/science/ap-chemistry
If you use the quizzes here, this will help you review material and figure out what you understand and what you need to go over more.
2. Get one or two of the AP Chemistry review books and work through the practice tests. There are a bunch of different ones published. I would recommend checking with your local library first and borrow them for free. You don't need the most up-to-date one; you're just looking for some practice.

Let me add one thing about the AP Chemistry exam: It has sections that are not multiple choice. Just be aware that the CLEP Chemistry test is ALL multiple choice. But if you understand what's covered on the AP Chemistry exam, you'll do fine on the CLEP Chemistry test.
