Cultural Geography - DSST Prep Recommendations

Weeks 1-3

There are many similarities between the AP Human Geography exam and the Introduction to Geography DSST exam, and there are a lot more resources for the AP Human Geography exam available. So, many of the suggestions I mention might be resources for the AP Human Geography exam, but they will work great for reviewing/preparing for the DSST exam as well. Please note that both the AP and the DSST exams are written from a secular perspective. Some of the review material might include content that you might not agree with, and that's ok. You need to be familiar with the material the test is going to cover, even if you don't agree with it. A large part of being ready for the DSST exam is simply knowing what the terms mean. I would recommend that you start off by working on understanding the terms. Here's a Quizlet that is quite extensive.

I would recommend that you spend 15 or so minutes a day working on reading the cards and then reviewing them. I put together these resources at the start of the year. If any of the links no longer work, please let me know.

Taking the terms from the study guide I gave you for the test you are taking this week, make flashcards (either paper ones or digital ones), if you haven't already.
